Apartment Description

The Fairlie, Abbey Church 16, is a large and beautifully decorated apartment located on the second floor immediately next door to Abbey Church 15, The Linse. It is accessed from the door at the north end of the Atrium.

Furnished to an extremely high standard the apartment lies partly in the newly built extension to the original Abbey Church building and partly within the original Pugin designed church. The apartment has the benefit of being within the converted Abbey Church where you will find the swimming pool, spa facilities and gymnasium.

The large living room and the two bedrooms all benefit from stunning views across the Monastery Gardens and directly northwards up Loch Ness. The master suite has a modern feel, lovely décor and a large en-suite bathroom containing both a bath and walk in shower cubicle. The second bedroom has twin beds a drawer unit and small wardrobe. The family bathroom off the main hallway is spacious and well appointed.

Off the hallway is a small study area with local maps pinned to a pin board and local information leaflets - perfect for planning your day’s adventure. A short corridor leads up some stairs to a very spacious open plan modern kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has granite work surfaces and is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and a full compliment of high quality kitchen equipment and utensils. This room lies within the original church, featuring original sandstone windows, and has elevated views over the Atrium where you can get great views of the gothic timber hammer head beams in the ceiling above.

The Abbey Church building can be accessed externally from doors either side of the Sanctuary Reception or internally via the walkway that connects the Atrium to the gothic arches and gargoyles of the central cloister (formerly the Fort’s parade ground).
